![]() ![]() I found the release date for Of Sorcery and Snow online, and I could talk of little else for the rest of the school year. I was feeling shy, so I didn’t comment on anything. After recruiting my friends to read this, I started reading your blog. I laughed out loud more times than I knew what to do with. Not wanting to wait another second, I bought it on my Kindle in three and a half seconds. To my delight, Of Witches and Wind had been published just a month before. So, like any other fan would do, I Googled the books. Rory was so relatable and your writing had (and still has) a unique, page-turning flair. Hi! This is my very first time to post on here, but I have been a fan since the beautiful cover for Of Giants and Ice caught my eye two years ago. It’s been a while since I’ve read the first three books, so there could have been some things that I missed that had been covered in the first books, but these are just my thoughts on the book. Kyle we got to know a little bit better, but for the most part it just seemed like his main purpose was to be a love interest for Rory. I also really liked the Matilda’s character development, although I felt like Vicky, Tina, Paul, and the others in Rory’s grade were extras who we really didn’t know much about (except of course Rory, Chase, and Lena). Overall, I found it to be a very entertaining book, although I was able to predict a lot of the deaths and a few of the key plot points, but there were a few surprises along the way. However, the Sleeping Beauty Tale was definitely the funniest part of the book.ĥ. I’m glad that Chase turned out alright in the end, but I did miss the old Chase for the first half of the book. However, I was somewhat confused by the Snow Queen’s death- by returning her heart did that somehow make her return to her actual age? And how did returning the heart release all of her magic and kill her? This was probably explained but I just missed it.Ĥ. I think the battle scene was well written. I like Chase and Rory a lot, but I’m not a huge fan of middle school relationships, even if they do know from Chase’s dream that they will end up together (if the dream is correct).ģ. Could Sabastian not have been saved by the Water of Life? Clearly it could turn stoned people back to life, so why couldn’t they save him?Ģ. I just finished the book (my copy came in early), so I wanted to say a couple of things:ġ.
